66th Japan-America Student Conference has decided to extend our deadline

After preliminary review of the applicant pool, The 66th Japan-America Student Conference has decided to extend our deadline in order to create a more diverse delegation! Applications are reviewed on a rolling admissions basis until a diverse full delegation is reached or March 31, 2014. We strongly encourage you to complete your application sooner rather than later before spots fill up! Please note that if you plan on applying for the S&R Scholarship, all of your application materials must be completed by March 24.

Initiated in 1934, the Japan-America Student Conference (JASC) has an 80-year history that includes a host of distinguished delegates, from former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger to Deputy Chief of Mission Kurt Tong to former Japanese Prime Minister Kiichi Miyazawa. As a delegate along with 71 other student leaders from Japan and the U.S., you will be able to:

  • delve into critical topics ranging from immigration to technological advancements,
  • learn firsthand from established leaders and educational field trips as we travel to Des Moines, IA, San Francisco, CA, New York, NY, and Washington, D.C.,
  • build your professional network through networking receptions, and
  • forge lifelong friendships.
The conference will be held from July 30 to August 24, 2014, and conducted entirely in English. Students from all fields of study are welcome. No Japanese language or studies background is required.

Apply now for a chance to join us this summer to learn beyond classroom learning, be challenged in your opinions, and grow as a leader! If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us at jasc@iscdc.org. We hope you will join us in this special year as we celebrate our 80th Anniversary!
