Career Shuttle: U.S. Department of State field trip

Date: Wednesday, October 8, 2014

Time: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Location: 3100 Hornbake Library, South Wing

Join the University Career Center & The President's Promise on a Career Shuttle to the State Department!  The focus of this Career Shuttle will be on careers and internships with the State Department.  Keep in mind, the State Department hires students with a variety of career interests, including (but not limited to): foreign affairs, security, IT, linguistics, writing, editing, human resources and more. This visit is open to all University of Maryland, College Park students.

On this site visit, we will attend a Foreign Policy Classroom (topic TBD based on current events) and a private career/internship information session with State Department staff.

In order to attend, you must RSVP below.  Following your RSVP, please call Alicia Montague, Career Events Coordinator in the University Career Center, at 301.314.7239 with the following information:

US Citizens:

• Name
• Date of Birth
• Driver’s License Number and State of Issuance OR Passport Number

Non-US Citizens:

• Name
• Date of Birth
• Passport Number and Country of Issuance

**If you leave a voicemail for Alicia with this information, please be sure to speak clearly and slowly, spell your name, and repeat your information twice.  Provide your phone number in case Alicia needs to call you back to clarify information.  This information must be communicated to Alicia by Wednesday, October 1**

Please plan to meet in the lobby of the University Career Center & The President's Promise (3100 Hornbake Library, South Wing) at 8:00a.m. We will depart promptly by bus at 8:15a.m. and return to campus by approximately 1:00p.m.  You may want to bring a snack.  Dress either business casual or business professional.  You must bring a government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or passport) for security purposes once on site.
