"Equality from a Human Point of View," Political Theory Workshop, 02/22

We are delighted to announce that Professor Chris Lebron, Research Scholar in Political Science at Yale University, will be speaking to the UMD Political Theory Workshop on the topic of:
"Equality from a Human Point of View: An Articulate Account of Racial Egalitarianism"
Chris is currently Research Fellow in Political Science at Yale University and formerly Assistant Professor of Politics at the University of Virginia.  He is the author of _The Color of Our Shame: Race and Justice in Our Time_ (Oxford University Press, 2013) and  “The Agony of a Racial Democracy” in the journal _Theory & Event’s_ 2012 Symposium on Trayvon Martin.  Dr. Lebron holds a PhD in Political Science from MIT and is a graduate of Baruch College, CUNY.
The talk will take place on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 4pm-5:30pm in 1101 Morrill Hall.  Prof. Lebron's paper will be distributed approximately 2 weeks before the workshop, and a flyer for the event is attached.
