Career Exploration Services available at the Counseling Centerr

The Counseling Center is offering helpful career exploration services to students. This semester, they are providing a range of career services that include –
 
 Individual Career Counseling – Weekly sessions with a counselor that include career assessment instruments and exploration of values and goals.  Students who desire individual career counseling should request an intake appointment as soon as possible at the start of the semester.  Call 301.314.7651 or visit Shoemaker Building to schedule an appointment.
(newCareer Exploration Group – This is a non-therapy group service that is open to undergraduate students who want to connect with others, explore their decision-making process, and apply their interests and strengths to career exploration.  Career assessments and other career tools will be provided. Group members will learn more about how to apply their interests, values, and preferences to choosing a major or a career and to identify and overcome barriers to decision-making.  Meets every Tuesday, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Space is limited.  Contact Dr. Karen Egan at kegan@umd.edu).
Majors Walk-In --  No appointment is needed for this introduction to SIGI-3, an online self-guided career exploration program that links students’ interests, personality, values and goals to careers and majors.  Every Wednesday, from 1 to 3 p.m. beginning Feb. 4. 

Our services are free, confidential, and available to all registered UM students.
