Are you interested in a paid fall internship in AARP’s advocacy department? AARP is the nation’s largest organization for those age 50 and above and their families. In an internship at AARP, not only will you get a chance to learn the latest political technologies, you will be making a real difference for the 50 plus.

AARP’s Internship program is a competitive platform designed to engage and offer undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students with opportunities to work and learn at the largest non-profit organization for persons who are 50+.  AARP is headquartered in Washington, DC and located minutes away from Capitol Hill. Interns who serve in our National office may enjoy opportunities to work alongside our talented teams who are lobbying and advocating on behalf of our members.  AARP Interns will also enjoy opportunities to work in areas such as marketing, communications, strategic planning, brand and human resources.

As an AARP intern, you will gain valuable experience and exposure by applying your educational experience in a busy, dynamic setting that will help you learn, grow and develop strong marketable, transferable skills to any organization. If you care about making a difference in the lives of others, this is the internship destination for you!  An internship opportunity will allow you access to teams of some of our brightest talents and network opportunities with some of our senior leadership.

We are looking for students to work 20 to 25 hours a week.  For more details, please email Martin Burns (Mburns@aarp.org).  Unfortunately, this opportunity is limited to students currently enrolled in an academic program.
