The purpose of the RULF Program is to provide specialized leadership opportunities to University of Maryland undergraduates. These opportunities will be both academic and experiential in nature and occur over the course of two semesters.
Here is some information:
The Fellowship Program will consist of a consecutive, two semester experience. Students will apply to be Fellows in the spring of each year and a new cohort will be admitted each fall. Participants will begin the program with an inaugural team-building challenge course at the UMD Outdoor Recreation Center. A series of specialized activities and experiences have been designed to give students the opportunities learn about leadership and advocate on behalf of something they are passionate about. Participants will work towards a Certificate of Completion and will be recognized at an annual ceremony at the School of Public Policy.
All Fellows have an internship in the spring and complete community action projects! Additionally, there are two courses in leadership that students take as well as a variety of interesting events. For example, this year, the Fellows had a semi-formal reception with leaders from elected office, private companies, and prominent non-profit organizations.
Information sessions will be held at the following times:
· Monday, March 5th 12 pm
· Tuesday, March 6th 5 pm
· Wednesday, March 14th 2 pm
