Partisan Internships

Internships in this area focus on advancing the acceptance of a partisan issue or election of a candidate. Interns have a variety of options from working on a campaign to lobbying for a specific policy change. Interns have worked with the Maryland Republican Party, the Prince George's County Democratic Office and various consulting firms.

Americans for Prosperity Foundation (Campaign, Partisan)

Americans for Prosperity Foundation is a nationwide leader in organizing citizen leaders committed to advancing every individual’s right to economic freedom. AFPF educates citizens in support of restraining state and federal government growth, and returning government to its constitutional limits. Americans for Prosperity Foundation works to advance greater economic growth, opportunity and prosperity through strong ethical foundations, government restraint and private sector productivity and competition.

DCCC- Member Services Department (Partisan, Campaign)

The DCCC is the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee which is the official campaign arm of the Democrats in the House of Representatives, and the only political committee in the country whose principal mission is to support Democratic House candidates every step of the way to victory.

Democratic Governors Association (Partisan, State/Local Gov.)

Founded in 1983, the Democratic Governors Association (DGA) is an independent voluntary political organization organized to support Democratic governors and candidates across the nation. As the only organization dedicated to electing Democratic governors and candidates, the DGA participates at all levels of campaigns, from providing resources to fund operations to helping articulate and deliver their messages. The DGA also provides expert advice in policy areas to Democratic governors and candidates.

Maryland Democratic Party (Campaign, Partisan)

This is Maryland’s local branch of the Democratic Party. Headquartered in Annapolis, they provide support to candidates and encourage people to register to vote. Interns have the opportunity to become familiar with the structure of local politics and learn the necessary skills to work successfully with candidates and volunteers. They will have the chance to directly work on campaigns, recruit and train volunteers, and attend meetings and events.

National Republican Senatorial Committee (Campaign, Partisan)

The National Republican Senatorial Committee works to elect Republicans to the U.S. Senate. The NRSC provides support and assistance to current and prospective Republican U.S. Senate candidates in the areas of budget planning, election law compliance, fundraising, communications tools and messaging, research and strategy.

Republican National Committee (Campaign, Partisan)

The Republican National Committee (RNC) is a political committee that provides national leadership for the Republican Party. It is responsible for developing and promoting the Republican political platform, as well as coordinating fundraising and election strategy. It is also responsible for organizing and running the Republican National Convention. They offer internships in various concentrations such as the Chairman’s office, the press office, and research.
