Think tank Internships

Interns in this area can expect to conduct, collect and analyze research in policy areas to distribute to the public or to use for lobbying and advocacy. Many institutions conduct this research to help formulate and promote public policies that reflect the goals and focus areas of the institution. Areas of focus can include, but are not limited to, economic and social policies, personal freedoms, human rights, and democracy.

Brookings Institution (Think tank)

The Brookings Institution is a nonprofit public policy organization based in Washington, DC. Their mission is to conduct independent research and, based on that research, to provide innovative, practical recommendations that strengthen American democracy; foster the economic and social welfare, security and opportunity of all Americans; and secure a more open, safe, prosperous and cooperative international system.
